DIY Halloween Projects

Last minute ideas! I received an email from Caitlin at Savers saying "Savers/Value Village thrift stores joined forces with the crafty Blair Stocker to create some adorable DIY projects for Halloween using inexpensive goods found at our thrift stores. They are an affordable and fun way for people to decorate their homes for Halloween. Just thought this might be of interest to you and your readers!" It sure is! Lots of cool DIY Halloween projects with tutorials made with thrift store items.

You can see all of the projects here: http://www.savers.com/Perfect-Halloween-Party.aspx.

and I love this new-to-me blog: Wise Craft

Check these out:

My favorites are the Festive & Funky T-Shirt Wreath, the Spooky Story Placemats and the Peculiar Picture Frames. What about you?

While we're at it...I know we have the Fall Festival, but since we're counting down the days how about a DIY Halloween Surprise Party! Link up, show and tell your DIY Halloween projects!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If you'd like to link YOUR DIY Halloween post to the party:
  1. It's always a surprise with a different theme and no specific date planned...just pops up out of the blue when the inbox is full of great DIY projects.
  2. You must link to this post to share the linky love.
  3. Add your permalink (not your blog url, but your Show & Tell post url). Feel free to link a Past Post, just invite your readers in a current post with a quick note.
  4. Or email your link to thediyshowoff@gmail.com and I will add it for you.
  5. The party will run for a few days...so showing up fashionably late is acceptable. I will probably take tomorrow off from blogging so keep checking back for more links!
  6. Have fun!
Here's our Halloween Show & Tell. We carved pumpkins tonight.
The German one is in the middle. AWESOME for first jack-o-lantern carving, huh?
BOO!
You Have Been BOO'd!
The air is cool, the season is fall,
Soon Halloween will come to all.
Ghosts and goblins, spooks galore...
Tricky witches at your door.
The spooks are after things to do,
In fact, a spook brought this "BOO" to you.
The excitement comes when friends like you,
Copy this note and make it two.
We'll all have smiles on our faces,
When we see who Boo'd who's places.
The following 4 ladies have been officially BOO'd...
  1. Blair@Craig, Blair & Turbo...her sense of humor and creativity make me smile (Turbo too)
  2. Sarah@Pewter and Sage...her style and her home inspire me.
  3. PK@Room Remix...I look forward to reading her blog everyday to see the creative ideas.
  4. Cheri@It's So Very Cheri...I enjoy her blog parties, she's so kind and helpful and I just recently won in her awesome giveaway!
This BOO party was started by Toni@The Tattered Cottage. Please keep the fun going by following these instructions.
1. You have 24 hours to work your spell
2. Copy and post the Halloween Boo Poem with the instructions for playing.
3. Pick 4 blogs you enjoying visiting and tell why you enjoy visiting them, with a link to
their blog and remember to link back to me.
4. Go to the original BOO Party post at the Tattered Cottage and add your MckLinky.
5. Let's see how fast and far this spreads between now and Halloween.
I LOVE Halloween! Had to restrain myself and ONLY add 3 projects. OK...I know, I'm not very good with limits.
"pk" the whole getting "BOO'D" thing is so fun. We did it in our neighborhood a few years ago & the kids loved it.
Have tons more projects on our blog. Check them out if you have a minute.
Well, I'm off to make some pearl necklaces for some crows! ;-)
Blessings, Tracy
Hi Sarah - I edited it to add the middle one is the German one. Can you believe that's her first time carving a jack-o-lantern? I took the easy way out and had R drill holes in mine! lol
Thanks everyone! You guys are awesome! I love your comments. :)
